Project Overview

The Education Cannot Wait (ECW) Project is a vital initiative aimed at providing education to out-of-school children in remote and conflict-affected areas of Nangarhar province. In partnership with Save the Children, this project ensures that children especially girls receive quality, inclusive, and safe education through Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) classes and Community-Based Education (CBE) classes.

This project addresses key barriers to education, such as limited access to schools, lack of female teachers, economic hardships. It offers a flexible and child-friendly learning environment to help children continue their education and improve their future opportunities.

Total Classes: 169

-Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) Classes: 14

-Community-Based Education (CBE) Classes: 155

Total Students Enrolled: 5,806

-Male Students: 1,608

-Female Students: 4,198

Total Teachers: 169

-Male Teachers: 144

-Female Teachers: 25

Districts Covered & Class Distribution

-Ghani Khel District → 50 classes

-Achin District → 62 classes

-Naziyan District → 57 classes

Impact of the ECW Project
