Mobile Repair Vocational Center
In close coordination with community elders and key stakeholders, Your Voice Organization (YVO) successfully conducted a mobile repair vocational skills training program for 199 male trainees from the targeted communities of Nangarhar province. aimed to empower vulnerable youth, many of whom lacked sustainable livelihoods or opportunities to secure adequate income for their families.
The objectives of the program were to:
-Provide young individuals with essential technical skills to repair mobile devices.
-Enable participants to start their own businesses, creating economic opportunities within their communities.
-Reduce youth vulnerability and unemployment by equipping them with marketable skills.
Training Structure
The program was designed to combine theoretical and practical components, ensuring participants not only understood the fundamentals of mobile repair but also gained hands-on experience. The training included:
-Basics of Mobile Technology: Introduction to mobile devices, their components, and functionality.
-Troubleshooting and Repair: Techniques for diagnosing and fixing common issues such as hardware malfunctions and software errors.
-Business Management Skills: Guidance on how to establish and manage a mobile repair shop.
Post-Training Support
To facilitate a smooth transition from training to entrepreneurship, YVO provided:
-Complete Mobile Repair Kits: Each participant received a toolkit containing essential items and necessary equipment.
-Certificates of Completion: Recognized credentials that validate the participant's skills and enhance their credibility with potential clients and employers.
-Mentorship Opportunities: Community elders and local businesses were engaged to offer advice and support to the newly trained entrepreneurs.
