From 16 August to 3 September 2026, the DRA Joint Response Consortium, comprising 11 INGO and NGO partners, conducted a Rapid Real-Time Review (RRTR) across Herat, Kandahar, and Nangarhar provinces.
The review aimed to assess project implementation, gather feedback from communities and stakeholders, identify good practices, and capture lessons to strengthen ongoing and future interventions.
The RRTR brought together representatives from all 11 consortium partners and used a range of participatory methods, including Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), Community and Local Authority Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), Senior Staff Interviews, and peer-to-peer learning visits.
During the Nangarhar visit, the RRTR team visited Your Voice Organization (YVO)’s Vocational Training Centers (VTCs) in Kot and Batikot districts, observing Mobile Repair and Tailoring training sessions. The team also reviewed relevant project documentation and engaged with trainees, community members, and key stakeholders to better understand the implementation process, achievements, challenges, and learning.
The RRTR team appreciated YVO’s vocational training activities, particularly their potential to contribute to sustainable livelihoods, skills development, and employment opportunities for vulnerable community members.
YVO values the RRTR process as an important opportunity for learning, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement in delivering meaningful support to communities.
